The Section 8 (Housing Choice Voucher) Program consists of housing subsidies provided by the Federal Government that allow eligible families to rent apartments in the private rental market through housing subsidies equal to the difference between 30% of the household gross income and the payment standard established for the household family size.

Payment standards for the Derby Housing Authority's (Section 8) program are listed below. The payment standards are established by HUD on an annual basis as part of the Fair Market Rents (FMR).
